Pro Tip - Open or Enclosed Ears?
Every Delzani hood ships with enclosed ears for maximum insect protection. If your horse prefers open ears, the ear covers can be cut out and permanently removed without damaging the integrity of the ear holes - so one hood suits either preference.
Not sure which way to go? Start with the ears on. You can always remove them later, but you can't put them back.

A: Yes. The hood comes with enclosed ears, which can be cut out and permanently removed without damaging the integrity of the ear holes.
Q: Will the hood rub my horse's mane?
A: The Samford hood has an internal lining through the mane to help reduce rubbing. As with any hood, correct sizing and adjustment make the biggest difference.
Q: How does the hood stay in place?
A: An adjustable, fast-release throat/poll strap secures the hood at the head, and adjustable, removable elastic hood straps keep it sitting correctly.
Q: Can I add eye or nose protection?
A: Yes. Eye covers and nose flaps are sold separately so you can customise the hood to your horse's needs.
Q: How is the Samford different from the Airlie hood?
